Multi-page forms are designed to feel manageable: instead of one enormous page, you get five or eight short ones. In practice they are slower to fill. Each page validates separately, loads new fields after you click Next, and sometimes times out while you are looking for a date. Job applications, visa and benefits forms, insurance quotes, and university admissions are typical examples.
Why multi-page forms are slow by hand
- Every page needs a separate round of reading, typing, and clicking Next.
- Validation errors only appear after you try to move on, so you go back and forth.
- Sessions can expire, especially on government and older applicant tracking systems, and you lose unsaved answers.
- Later pages often depend on earlier answers, so new questions appear that you did not expect.
How auto-pagination works
Auto-pagination is the ability of a form filler to fill a page, find and click the Next or Continue button, wait for the next page to load, and repeat. Aullevo's Auto-Pagination does this until it reaches the final Submit. Along the way it pauses when a required field is empty so you can answer it yourself, corrects answers a form rejects (such as "5 years" typed into a number-only box), and clicks through intermediate steps such as "Apply anyway".
You turn it on in Settings, then Auto-Pagination. It works with the Fill button, the keyboard shortcut, and Multi-link batches. The free plan includes 2 hours of Auto-Pagination every day; Pro removes the limit.
Staying in control
- Turn off automatic submission for forms you want to review line by line, and use the Review page most portals provide.
- Keep it off for payments, legal declarations, and anything you cannot easily undo.
- Watch the first run on a new site. Once you trust how it behaves there, later runs need less attention.
- If it pauses, read why. A pause usually means a question your profile does not answer yet, so add that answer to your profile for next time.
Tip: On portals with session timeouts, fill your profile completely before starting. Auto-pagination is fastest when it never has to wait for you.
Without an auto-pagination tool
You can still speed up multi-page forms: keep your master answers in one document, use your browser's autofill on contact pages, and save progress whenever the form offers it. With a form filler on its free plan, pressing the fill shortcut once per page already removes most of the typing.
